Hornski’s
Hornski's is the kind of place that doesn't fit in one box, and that's exactly why I love it. It's a microbrewery, a record shop, and an old school arcade all under one roof, tucked on Anastasia Blvd just over the Bridge of Lions.
The space used to be a vinyl lounge before it closed in 2019, and that record store soul never left. There's almost always something spinning on the turntable, and a relaxed, come as you are feel that makes it easy to lose an afternoon here.
They brew their own beer on site, with a rotating tap list worth asking about when you walk in. Past pours have included their Bridge Up! IPA, a Kilgore Stout, and a Dumfungled Scotch Ale. Not a beer drinker? They pour wine, sparkling wine, and kombucha too, so nobody in your group gets left out.
Jefe's Fish Wagon parks on site, so you can grab tacos and fresh bites without leaving your seat. A cold beer, a fish taco, and a record playing is a tough combination to beat.
The arcade games and pinball are free to play, there's a pool table in the mix, and the whole place invites you to stick around. It's genuinely family friendly during the day, then settles into an easy evening hangout.
I don't think there's a bad brewery in the area, but this one might be my favorite. It's so casual that my wife, who rarely drinks, can grab a kombucha and still feel like she's part of the party. My choice beer would be the Bride of Hazystein.
